Known in its native country as Si-Sawat, the Korat is relatively rare in the United States.  In Thailand, a pair of Korats are given as a wedding gift to assure the couple a prosperous future.  Even as a solo cat, Korats are incredibly loving and devoted and make their chosen person feel lucky everyday.

Korats have a compact, semi-cobby body with a beautiful silver-blue coat, often compared to a "beef roast wrapped in silken fur".  Korats are ugly ducklings when young and take up to three years to develop their beautiful form and emerald green eyes.

With their heart-within-a-heart shaped face and cartoon expressions, the Korat will win your heart.....if you're lucky enough to find one!
